Stuart Green and Jennifer Moses fly the colors on inauguration day.

Each week during JLC our students begin with community time led by Morah Lily. This week on Wednesday, following a historic inauguration we asked our JLC students to look towards the future and help create a prayer for our country. These are their beautiful worlds full of hope and light.

Shomrei JLC Prayer for Our Country:

VERY happy that we finally have a woman as a vice president!

I hope that we are able to administer the vaccines properly and effectively.

I hope for the quarantine to end and for there to be no more sickness.

I hope that the United States will administer the vaccines and conquer Coronavirus.

For people to have more common sense.

I hope for the country that we get rid of the Coronavirus.

I hope that we prioritize living sustainably on this planet.

I hope that we all can move forward with hope and empathy in our hearts.

I hope that more people get the vaccine so that Covid will stop soon.

I hope people are being kind to each other more.

I hope every country gets much better relationships.

I hope that racism stops.

I hope that everyone has a warm shelter.

I hope President Biden can fix mistakes that were made.

I hope that Joe Biden can help to reunite this country.

I hope that we can save the animals’ habitats.
