Congregation Shomrei Emunah and the Shomrei Preschool celebrated the opening of its new playground with a ribbon cutting ceremony and community event on Sunday, May 19th. The new playground features all new, state-of-the-art equipment amid a larger footprint.
Shomrei president Sara Ann Erichson said “This playground is the result of a wonderful collaboration between parents, who raised half of the funds, and the synagogue which is investing in our children. Shomrei kids will enjoy this playground for years to come.”
“The children now want to stay at school and play together long after the school day is over. It is an amazing opportunity for younger and older siblings to join them to be free, explore and learn together through play” said mom Michelle Kurlan Schneider. “It came together so quickly and beautifully.”
The Shomrei Preschool is a play-based Jewish preschool in the heart of Montclair. It is a warm and nurturing community where learning is playful and encourages a child’s natural curiosity. Each child is celebrated as an individual, as staff nurtures inborn gifts and highlights each child’s ability to shine and contribute to our community
