On Tuesday night we welcomed 21 grateful guests to the MESH Cafe at Shomrei. A hearty and delicious meal was prepared by Shomrei chef extraordinaire Aileen Grossberg.
First course was Chickpea and Kale Minestrone Soup and toasted dinner rolls with garlic oil. Next up, tossed salad with Campari tomatoes. Main course was Apricot Dijon Chicken with roasted Brussels sprouts and potatoes. Dessert included pound cake with pineapple and grapes. Everyone loved the meal and left with full stomachs and warm hearts. Adult helpers included Erin Berman, Melanie Grossberg and Steve Hoviss. Sebastian represented our teens. MESH staffers, Adrienne, Bonny, Mr Wells and Joseph made sure all ran smoothly and we had excellent help from two MSU students, Amber and Ryan.
