Mesh Cafe Nov 22, 2016

IMG_0738From Captain Fern Heinig:

On a very cold night we had 18 guests join us for MESH Cafe.

Our volunteers came out in full force.  Risa Bernstein and Kady Chikkappa joined us as new adult volunteers.  Erin Berman, who baked 6 challahs for our guests, and Susan Rosenblatt rounded out our adult volunteers.  Rachel Kanter joined us for a bit while Pacey was practicing for his bar mitzvah in two weeks.

IMG_0739Our wonderful Shomrei teens not only came, but brought friends.  Jo brought two other students from West Orange High, Gabe and Kristina.  Attention all Captains, Jo plans on bringing two friends every week.  Other teens who helped: Jake, Amalia, Matt and Rachel.

Our wonderful MESH staff, Adrienne, Amber, Ray, and Mr. Wells also added their support.  Next week will be Amber’s last week.

IMG_0735The MESH Cafe menu was:
Fresh Cantaloupe
Tomato Rice Soup
Hot and Sweet Meatballs (9lbs of meatballs were made and not a single one left)
Roasted Carrots
Mashed Potatoes
Cookies and Tangerines for dessert

I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving
