Shomrei Teens MESH – June 11, 2024

This week, nine Shomrei teens and almost teens, gave up their Monday night, of the last week of school, to prepare, cook, portion, and bag fifty meals for MESH.

Team Leader Fern, helped these first-timers organize themselves for the tasks that needed to be completed, and then they went to work.

The team was: Jack, Noa, Eitan, Lila, Maya, Lila, Lily, Lilljeth, and Ilan.

This week’s MESH meal consisted of: Hot and sweet meatballs, string bean salad, eggplant salad, a roll, cookies, a breakfast bar, and water.

Thank you Lynne Rubin for co-leading. And Rabbi Julie for feeding the kids pizza, which was well deserved.

Thank you Lynne Kurzweil for helping to pack the meatballs, so they could be served warm. And Aileen for delivering the goody bags to MESH.

The Shomrei Teens agreed to do MESH again in September.
