The Other King and Queen of Purim!

Purim is a family enterprise in the Breslin Household.  For the last 3 years Nancy Breslin has been the organizer behind the Purim Carnival and for the last 2 years Charlie has taken on the daunting task of organizing the Shalach Manot JLC fundraiser.

The carnival is a mammoth undertaking. There is a myriad of logistics to stress over — organizing games, arranging rentals of bouncy houses and photo trucks, ordering hundreds of prizes, schlepping 40 boxes of pizza and a car full of other goodies from Costco, just to name a few. Also there’s enlisting the help of and organizing scores of other volunteers.

And Nancy juggled all the balls without dropping any!

Charlie, ever the salesman, never stops selling Shalach Manot!  Even when on business in Germany he and I kept in constant touch about sales progress via texts.  It’s not easy to make 300 bags of goodies and get them organized and delivered while also selling…selling…selling!  Charlie out did himself this year raising $2,226 more this year than last year for a total of $16,038!

And let’s here it for the Breslin Kids!  Alan, Kate and Lila were helping every step of the way.  From setting up the carnival at 8 in the morning to cleaning up afterward.  Alan even volunteered to be this year’s “Haman” and get plastered in the punim by wet sponges!

Yasher Koach to the Whole Breslin Family!!
