Mesh Cafe May 24, 2016

From Captain Lynne Kurzweil:
We welcomed 25 guests to Shomrei’s MESH Cafe this past Tuesday night. As usual, the group sat patiently in anticipation of the menu being announced and smiled brightly knowing that Chef Aileen was at the helm.

First up was sour cream onion dip with crudités and pretzel chips followed by a green salad and toasted buttered baguette. The main course was steelhead trout baked with tomatoes, olives, capers and artichoke hearts; green beans sautéed with olive oil and garlic; mixed grain pilaf with mushrooms, leeks and carrots. Dessert was chocolate dipped shortbread cookies, pineapple, mango and strawberry a la mode (mango and limoncello ice cream).

The entire meal was devoured and 10 people had seconds! Teen helpers extraordinaire were Amalia N., Siona E., Louis F. and Isaac S. MESH staffers Adrienne, Bonny, Dev and newcomer, Andi, were cheerful, helpful and appreciative as always.

We need a Captain for next week…..any takers? No experience necessary…especially since the introduction of our new MESH Captain’s Report form. Ably created and implemented by our own, Aileen Grossberg & John Lasiter, it takes the guesswork out of captaining.

Please sign up at the link below or contact Lynne Kurzweil if you can help out.

Thank you.
