MESH this week was prepared on Monday (to be delivered on Tuesday) by teens in PLATE – Providing Local Aid to End Hunger. This is a Montclair High School Club led by Shomrei teen Jordan. The enthusiastic teens who have been participating in Teen MESH inspired the creation of PLATE.
- A big thank you to teen Collin for providing the cookies for dessert and being a mensch by even packing them in 50 baggies so they can just be put into the dinner bag
- Amy Rabinowitz, a newer Shomrei member, for doing all the shopping. And she has agreed to shop every month. What a huge help!
- Another new volunteer and new member, Janice Berman. Janice joined Fern to finish the packing on Tuesday.
- Alex Kent for delivering the dinner bags to the Office

Shomrei provides 50 meals to MESH on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month. We need volunteers to help prepare and pack the food.
For those interested in volunteering who are not available on Tuesday afternoons, we are brainstorming different ways to make it work. Let us know what would work for you.
Additionally, each Monday afternoon, we deliver any usable food leftover from Kiddish to MESH.
Volunteer at the MESH Site
Volunteers are also welcome to help serve food 6 nights a week, Monday through Saturday, 4:30-6:30 pm at the MESH site, 619 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair.
