I would like to thank Marge Wise, for handling my request to sponsor the kiddush on February 1st so expeditiously; Aileen Grossberg, for her expert planning and execution of the wonderful Israeli menu for that kiddush; and all those who assisted with the shopping and preparation for the meal.
Finally, I’d like to thank all those who came to services or the kiddush to share in my special joy. I could not imagine a more satisfying and delightful way to mark my 70th birthday. Thank you all.
Bill Batkay is a long time Shomrei member. He's a "regular" of the Sunday morning minyan and Hebrew language class at Shomrei. Bill was on the faculty of Montclair State University teaching political science.He is now retired.
