Feeding the needy at Shomrei, every Tuesday night
We served 19 guests last night at Shomrei’s MESH Cafe. John Lasiter, Deanna London and Jerilyn Margulies whipped up a delicious and hearty meal which included Hummus, Pita Chips and Tomatoes, Green Salad, Dinner Rolls, Roasted Chicken with Potatoes, Olives and Garlic (yum!), and Chocolate Babka for dessert.
They loved it! Bernardo Breziner returned as Chief Bottle Washer with the assistance of Michelle, an MSU Student who joined us for the evening. Setup and Service was provided by Sam, Caleb, Jesse, Lukas, Paul, Noa, Sierra and MSU Students Veronica and Kelly. Veronica and our MSU Interns, Rosa and Stephanie, all finished their official assignments with Shomrei on Tuesday night. Rosa and Stephanie are graduating and we wish them much success. It has been delightful working with them and they have added much to our Tuesday evening cafes. Veronica told us that she loves coming to Shomrei and will be back in January after winter break. Thank you, Veronica!
Next week we will be serving a catered meal donated by the Torah Study group. Yasher Koach!
