MESH Report February 27, 2024

A most efficient crew prepared and packed Chef Sarita’s hearty, tasty and nutritious BBQ Chicken Feast for 50 in a repeat record time of 2 hours. The A+ Team included Captain Sarita Eisenberg, #1 First Mate Lou Hammerman, and First Class crew members Linda Ariel, Susan Rosenblatt and Lynne Kurzweil.

The meal consisted of BBQ chicken legs baked in Sarita’s homemade sauce, fresh cut roasted potatoes and semi-homemade coleslaw. Collin Brooks and his baking companions whipped up chocolate chip cookies and added in black and white Oreos to the ziplock bag for good measure. Fruit, bread and a water bottle rounded out the meal.

In actuality, the most time-consuming part of preparing this meal is the packing. This team has it down to a science!

Of special note – the Fooderie gave a 25% discount on the chicken. Be sure to thank the Fooderie for their generosity if you happen to shop there.

Lynne transported the meal bags to The Office where the MESH staff and volunteers gratefully accepted our contribution.
