Report from Captain Lynne Kurzweil:
A small but highly capable group of volunteers welcomed another packed house of twenty appreciative guests on Tuesday evening.
The meal was prepared by Yours Truly with the help of sous chef Bernardo Breziner. We served an appy of salsa and chips, followed by split pea soup. Green salad and yummy whole grain bread accompanied the main course of panko crusted tilapia, mashed potatoes and peas. Dessert was madeleines and grapes.
Our guests continue to express compliments to us on the quality, taste and quantity of food we provide at Shomrei. They leave smiling, saying thank you and “see you next week”.
Helpers tonight were Shomrei’s own Noa and Rachel and also Deja, from the Montclair High School Key Club. Thanks to everyone for a job well done.
