Mesh Cafe Mar 24, 2015

MESH Mar 24 2015Report from Captain Lynne Kurzweil:

We welcomed a full house of twenty guests on Tuesday evening. The mood was very light, almost festive, as we began our introductions and motzi. Our guests were genuinely happy anticipating a hearty and delicious meal at Shomrei. When the menu was announced by chef, John Lasiter, there was applause! The MESH staff confirmed that the MESH Cafe at Shomrei has a reputation for providing delicious cuisine. John and his sous chef, Jerilyn Margulies, prepared green salad and home baked bread, roasted chicken with olives, herb roasted potatoes and roasted okra. Dessert was homemade peach crumble. They loved it all! Many thanks to our chefs and helpers….Bernardo Breziner, Sierra Wendeborn, and our teens Sebastian, Noa and Alex.

Next week we will be serving a dairy meal downstairs in the YAC because the upstairs kitchen will already be kashered for Passover. It’s a busy week for everyone as we prepare our homes, but we need to take a little time to share our good fortune with our neighbors. If you are able to contribute a portion of the meal, please email me ASAP. We already have a pasta casserole from Linda Ariel….good way to clear out the chametz!
