Feeding the needy at Shomrei, every Tuesday night

We served 11 guests. Because it was a small group, we were able to pack up leftovers in takeout containers for most of the guests. The meal was graciously sponsored by the members of the Torah Study group and included a catered meal of egg salad with vegetables and crackers, hearty vegetable soup, challah, meatloaf, roasted potatoes and green beans and garlic. Assorted cookies were served for dessert.

Lynne is a long-time Shomrei Congregant.She is co-chair of Shomrei's MESH Cafe (Montclair Emergency Services for the Homeless) which provides a hot dinner and respite for homeless individuals every Tuesday night. She is a registered dietitian and lives in Montclair with her husband, Lanny.
