Last night we welcomed 19 guests to Shomrei’s MESH Cafe. Three more takeaway meals were given out. Our guests seemed somewhat subdued tonight, perhaps as the holiday season and the cold weather approaches. As usual, all guests enjoyed the meal and graciously expressed their thanks.
Aileen Grossberg was chef, whipping up a delicious and homey spread including Pita Chips with Guacamole or Hummus, Salad, Buttered Bread, Roasted Cod with Mango Thai Marinade, Green beans with Mushrooms and Pimento, Roasted Brown Sugar Carrots. For dessert, each guest was served a sliced fresh orange and a large bakery cookie. Aileen also provided a takeaway bag with a Banana, a Granola bar and a Fig bar.
