Mesh Cafe June 9, 2015

MESH 2015 June 9Report from Captain Lynne Kurzweil:

We welcomed a full house of twenty last night for a delicious meal prepared by Arden Epstein. Starter was a caprese salad followed by the main course of honey roasted steelhead trout, green beans, homemade potato salad and homemade cole slaw with dinner roll. Dessert was pumpkin sprinkle with vanilla ice cream. Our chef received rave reviews from our appreciative and lively guests.

Mesh Cafe May 26, 2015

MESH May 26 2015Report from Captain Alex Kent:

20 hungry guests were served at Shomrei’s MESH Cafe last night. Fern Heinig was the Chef du Jour, whipping up fruit salad to start, followed by a green salad with cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and red peppers. The main course was baked salmon with a special spice from Brazil, roasted green beans, and rice, served with buttered rolls. Dessert was yogurt and cookies and mini cheesecakes.

Report from Captain Lynne Kurzweil:

A lovely evening at Shomrei’s MESH Cafe. Guests arrived with smiles and anticipation of a good meal.

They enjoyed Pumpkin Black Bean Soup, courtesy of our soup maven, Merrill Silver. Spinach Cheese Lasagne and Tossed Salad with Ripe Tomato Wedges was next, accompanied by Garlic Bread. Dessert was Brownie Sundaes with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. Yours truly was the cook with help from Susan Anderson, Sierra Wendeborn, and Shomrei teens Sam, Sebastian, Rachel. Every bite was gone and many guests left with equally bright smiles.
